SUMMARY:4th TOKEN Policy Observatory
DESCRIPTION:Use Cases of DLT in the Public Sector: \nOperational Learnings\, Policy Recommendations and Scaling Potential \nRegistration for the summit in person\, general ticket includes the Observatory (fees apply) \nRegistration to view the online stream (free) \nWelcome to the TOKEN project’s fourth Policy Observatory event! The Observatory brings together professionals working with applications of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs) in the public sector to discuss operative learnings\, the policy landscape and scaling potential related to current Use Cases.  \nIn addition to presenting four TOKEN Pioneer Use Cases and their lessons so far\, we will learn about scaling from an expert from a scaled Case\, the Energy Wallet. We will also share thoughts in a panel discussion moderated by the think tank Demos Helsinki. \nAt the event\, we hope to crystallize the learnings from Use Cases\, making it easier to improve and scale similar DLT projects especially in the European context. After the Observatory we will recommend best practices for cities\, and the European public sector more widely. \nBelow you will find the programme and the essential information about the event. We hope to see you in September! \nWhat purposes does the event serve?  \n\nA means to get acquainted with latest Distributed Ledger Technology applications in the European public sector\nA forum to discuss the needs for policy and regulations\, operative possibilities and challenges\, and learn about scaling\nA way to connect with people working with public sector DLTs \n\nFor whom is it? \n\nProfessionals working with public sector DLT applications – or aspiring to do so\, e.g.: \nChief Technology Officers of cities\nCivil servants working with DLTs and tech projects\, smart cities etc.\nPolicy makers interested in the digital transformation of their institutions\nInnovations and tech specialists within public administration \nResearchers\nDevelopers/industry professionals\n\nHow can I register? \n\nIf you want to follow the YouTube stream free of charge\, please register here. SUMMARY:TOKEN: Impacto de blockchain en los servicios públicos
DESCRIPTION:Blockchain and other DLTs form the cornerstone of future innovation\, enabling secure processes that will transform public services by solving issues related to trust\, transparency\, and privacy. \nTOKEN’s ecosystem will facilitate the adoption of these technologies by providing public administrations with “out-of-the-box” components and demonstrating their added value through their application in replicable use cases. In this webinar\, different entities and public administrations will show how the application of DLT enables public services to improve efficiency\, boost public participation\, increase transparency\, and foster automation through smart contracts.

SUMMARY:Public Services and Blockchain: why\, why not\, what and how?
DESCRIPTION:What do distributed ledger technologies like blockchain mean for public services? Do they in reality fulfil the promises of transparency\, efficiency and increased trust? What do you need to take into account in distributed ledger technology projects in public services? \nFor the past three years\, the TOKEN project has worked with four real life use cases in smart cities to build\, test\, and pilot how distributed ledger technologies can be used in various public services. Join us and city officials\, smart city service developers and public servants to learn more about what these actual projects and research into their implementation has to say about the benefits\, the question marks and the concrete how to’s and lessons learned of DLT in the public sector. During the event\, you will hear from concrete use cases what benefits they have seen and what challenges they have faced as well as gain insight into the evolving policy landscape around DLT and what tools policymakers on the city level can use to assess the possible uses and grasp onto the possibilities of distributed ledger technology in the public sector. \n  \n\nRead detailed agenda and register here
